So Ive figured out how to install the temp gauge from the search. What I havent figured out is how to keep my stock gauge working as well. I know some of you well say you dont need it hooked up if you have an aftermarket gauge hooked up, this is true but I would like both of them working, just my OCD deal. So is there a way? Can I splice them together? Thanks

Since it is an electrical gauge you can't parallel them together. I would look for some other plug somewhere that goes into the water jacket that you can remove and screw in the sender there. Maybe on the block or intake manifold, thermostat housing, etc. I don't remember if there was any other plugs anywhere or not.

I'm not sure if any other euro cars do this, but Saab uses a T inline in the radiator hose to mount the AC temp sensor. I'm not sure of the dimensions of the hose, or the pitch on the T. If you want both senders for your Luv, using this setup might be a way to install a second sender.

Yeah I was wondering about that. I thought I would do that with the original temp gauge because it wouldnt have to be as accurate.

I am having problems with my stock gauge lately, as in it reads about 20 degrees low. If you really want to know your water temperature, you are right to put in a gauge with numbers and a separate sending unit.

You can get a water temp adapter at ebay that goes inline on the upper radiator hose so you can add another temp sensor to your truck.
