Is an 81 Luv an electric distributor? I would like to get rid of my points and I found an 81 at the junk yard.

It will work but you also need to get the ignition module. Without it the distributor will be useless. I believe it is mounted near the coil. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Put it in tonight and it seems to run great. I think I can feel a little more power, I dont know. Pretty easy though, Im scared to death of wiring, I dont want to screw anything up. Everything else on a rig doesnt bug me except wiring.
