Alright i now have an extra 1.8L but its a 78. I am wondering if they are set up for the air pump that i will have toi run on my 80 to make it smog legal and thus get it licensed. It looks like the 78 heads have the plugs in them and they just need to be pulled out to install the air pump and away you go. Can anyone confirm this for me?
And no a motor swap is not in my feuture, i will have to keep the stock motor and stuff in the luv for a while untill i get well settled afdter i get out on my own. Thanks guys!

MEPR,yea it well work. Just pop the plugs out and install your air manifold, or air injection nozels. I would of liked to have found some of those plugs when i rebuilt my 80.If ya go to my project page you can see how i caped mine off...it seems to be ok! I ended up just cutting the tubes because i couldnt get the steel tubes out of the exaust manafold! Before i caped them off i started it at night and it was blowen blue flames!! I Just passed the stringent city emissions test on my 79 YEEEEEEHHHAAAA! Good luck........

well i need mine but theres acouple of 1.8L troopers an pups in the wrecking yard. I could go out there and pick one up for ya.

I just bought a new one still in the sealed box for the 1.9L i'm putting in. I got in a Buy It Now from ebay for $199. It should be at my Mom's place in Oklahoma in 3 days, and up to me on the 14th.
