I have a dash pad that is badly cracked. So far Ive gotten the radio, lower panels & vents off but noticed no visible screws for the gauge panel. Is it held on with clips? After I remove that how do I get the pad off?

There are nuts on the backside of the gage cluster that need to be removed. The dash itself is glued in place. As old as it is it shouldn't be too hard to remove. If you have a new dash, just rip out the old one. If you only have a dash top, you dont need to remove the dash. Just install the new dash top over the old one.

If you need, I can post a pic of the back of the guage cluster (for a 78 ). I would do it now but I don't know what year of LUV you have, which gives me an idea for Ben to add to the site.
