I drove this truck 14 years ago in high school, and with gas prices decided to dump some gas in it and drive it again. I am having some problems with electrical issues. I put a flatbed on it and wired in some trailer lights, but for some reason can't get my blinkers to work quite right. When I use the blinkers during the day they work, but when I have the headlights on they don't work. They barely glow inside, but won't flick on. It's like they aren't getting enough power. I hooked it up to a battery charger and I got enough juice to get them working with the headlights on and off. What would cause it to not run the blinkers off the battery alone???

Also my brights don't work. The dims work perfect, but when I push or pull for brights, nothing...darkness is all I get. I figured I could wire a switch in for that problem.

Any help would be appreciated. I have already had the colum appart and cleaned up all the connections. What next???

Thanks, Randy

Check your ground connections...you might not have a good enough ground. Also if you used too light guage of wire it wont work either.

If that's OK...you must have goofed somewhere.
