Hi folks!
I have a Weber type carb on my '75 LUV. It came off an 80's Escort or Lynx or similar.
I cannot identify it by any of the online info. It is a Ford-specific Motorcraft build of a Holley build of a Weber design specific to Ford only

called a 740. Carb baseplate number is 9537 1F23, a Ford number. Overall it's most similar to a 32/34 DFT, VERY close to that.
Problem: SMOG motor carb: No adjustable fuel mixture screw that I can find anywhere! Only possibility I see is there's a small brass Welch plug in the side of the carb, like a tiny brass freeze plug, about where mixture screw is on other models.
With electric choke assy on right toward rear of engine, fuel inlet on left toward front of engine, this welch plug is on passenger side of carb 2/3 of the way down. 75's have intake on driver's side of engine.
Wondering if I should drill/pry that out and see what's under it? Just don't want to ruin carb by causing a leak.... Thanks!
