I'm trying to adjust the clutch pedal height in 77 LUV, and in the manual it says to loosen the nut attached to the rod, but the nut isn't coming loose. I've sprayed the thing with WD40 everyday for a week and it still doesn't budge. Am I reading the instructions incorrectly, or is it just being stubborn?

FF, on my 79. pop the hood and on the fire wall right in front of the steering wheel you will see the clutch cable, comming through. Two nuts, size 15mm I think twist them in opposite directions. screw in on the nut closest to the fire wall to tighten up cable.( less play) other way loosens it. should catch about 1" from top of peddle travel. Try some knocker loose spray better than WD 40

on a 77 it should be like my 76 its a hydraulic system to adujust the clutch peddle you need to losten the nut on the rod under the dash on the push rod what you might have to do is undo the pushrod from the peddle and take the pushrod out put it in a vice it would make life easer once you get ti broke loose reinstial it then adujust away it needs to be 5.9-6.3"off the floor if you wont to adjust the clutch shift fork from under the truck remove the return spring and losten the adjustment nut run the pushroad until it contacs the shift fork then abck it off 3\4- 1 turn and tighten the nut back up let us know know how it goes
