 Post subject: Steering box adjustment

I noticed several luv'ers on the site have adjusted their steering boxes. When adjusting do you need to disconnect the tie rod assy from the pitman arm. I attempted to adjust once before and the screw wouldn't turn. Since then, I have been told it won't turn against the weight of the front end.
