Well I'm rebuilding the g180 motor in my little chevy luv as a class project and I'm a first time rebuilder so I just tear it down thinking I could rember where everything can go. Mistake 1 there alot of stuff lol.

Well after acouple months of preping the block and head cleaning and measuring and re measuring we our on assembly got the crank/rods/pistion installed so far working on putting the head back togther and timing and such.

Was wondering if any had a link to a engine diagram showing were parts go and such that away I make sure I get everything in the correct spot.

also as Im getting ready to install the cam was wondering what the correct position for the cam installation is that away i dont bend any valves.

I'd strongly recommend you pick up Chevy Luv manual. They are available on ebay, at least one member here currently has some for sale also.

The manual will answer your questions, provide torque specs, show assembly order, etc., etc. Definately money well spent.

Good luck with your build. You may want to look this thread over when you have (lots of) time...

Did you plastigage the main bearings and rod bearings?

I rebuilt a G180 a year ago and left a lot of posts with photos so check it out if you have time.

And if you want one quicker just go down to napa and they normally have one in the back or can order one in and get it to you with in a day or two
