OK have a few questions. I am currently in the middle of installing my offy and the electric choke webber. Trying to figure out a few things.

1. How do I hook up the two electrical connections on the webber. It has two prongs to hook up to and the old stock carb has the clip style with all the other BS on it. Do i cut out of the stock clip to get the power? Or does it just need to be hooked up to a ground and a 12v ignition source?

2. I have all the other BS on the Offy plugged just trying to figure out this thermo sensor. Its the one that has two ports coming off of it. From what i read in the old Haines manual it is a temp sensor that sends info to the "computer" Can i plug this one two or does it really need this crap. I went around to Autozone and Kreagon yesterday they looked at me like i was High.

3. Throttle linkage. I read something in the forum about this one went back to find it but couldn't find it. Can you use th old throttle linkage or do you have to use the new one that comes with the kit. Do you have to tap it out and make a new spot to bolt it down?

I cant wait to get this done I have it mocked up right now I cant believe how naked it looks without the emissions bull butter. I have a pile of parts that i took off its great. Know that some of you have already done this just wanted to see how you got around these things. Thanks ahead of time for the help.

Wish I could help you with some of this stuff, but I haven't a clue either. I just took on selling them. I am sure once you get it all figured out it you will be happy with the upgrades. I know everyone here on the message boards always rave about the Offy and Weber upgrades. I haven't done it yet, but hopefully sometime in the Spring or early Summer I will be. Maybe Taz is in the middle of his install and taking lots of pictures! :)

I just got everything cleaned up in my garage and it will be going on my truck's engine this week...so the pics and a tutorial will be posted soon. Sorry for the delay..but if people would stop stealing my trucks then I'd be done already...lol

I've got a days worth of tinkering on my daughter's car I just bought her, then I have to fix a door lock on my wife's car - and then it's the Luv's turn. Then I get to start fixing the stuff the thieves fubar'ed on my Blazer that got stolen as soon as the insurance company cuts me a check for the damages.

Should have taken pictures as I was going. It wasnt that bad of a swap. As taz stated before just taking the two intakes and placing them side by side just start swaping them over. As I think was previously mentioned the mone that Moka sent out was an aplication to keep all of the emisions crap on it but all of those holes can be plugged. I was amazed on how much crap is envolved with that emisons BS. I used parts from a local hardware store to cap everything off. For that stupid injector rail, we removed it then cut the sleave bolts off, with the hole in the middle already we used a tap to insert a 1/8 plug on those four pieces.

The one problem that I did run into was realy my own damb fault. With the webber kit that i got it had part of the linkage for the throttle (the part that hold the two nuts to keep the cable tight. Well my friend and I were dumb founded on this piece not sure if it was BEER thinking or what but we couldnt figure that damb thing out we insisted it mounted to the intake over and over but there were no holes to line it up. SO we took off the old one from hicrappy and started to fab one up I had it bolted up to the old air filter spot on the valve cover. Of course as he is cutting the accelerator cable I am enlightend and see that the new peice from weber is suposed to go right on the carb mount studs! DUDUDUUUGH :imwifstupid SO now everything is hooked up but have to get new cable!

I still have two F- fing hoses to figure out what to do with I theink that they both went to that stupid temp sensor I plugged them for the time beeing. I got the thing to turn over yesterday. It sounds bad ass but all I have is my headers on right now thank god I live in the middle of now where!

So anyone on TEMP Sensor THingy I went to all parts stores around here and they got nothing.

And the electric choke hook up what wires to use?

Thanks Guys Cant wait to see what Taz comes up with. Kicking myself for not taking Pics Ill go out and take some of finished product and the carnage of parts I removed!

Glad you are getting it figured out. I can't wait to see how mine will be once it is installed. I will just have to wait until Spring. Some pics would be cool to see how it looks all bolted in and hooked up. And hey, the beer thinking should have been working better since isn't it true that drinking kills all the bad brain cells and lets the stronger ones thrive? So the e-mail that has gone around said anyway! :)

I have almost all the problems figures out on this just trying to get the electric carb hooked up anyone have Ideas do try and hook into the old harness or run a new wire some where? Got the thing to start up first time with Just headers oh my that was the biggest Ive smiled in a long time.

Started welding up exhaust today and our dumbasses didnt look at everything before we went to my buddies house we totally forgot to look underneath we had it all welded up to go straight back from header and didnt think about damb cross members!! SO we will start over. Ill take pics tomorrow and post them. Help on the choke would be cool though!

Taz did you get started yet?

The temp sensor that screws into the old intake is for the EGR valve. It has two vac ports on it, and keeps the EGR from from working until the truck is warmed up. I'm not sure what you do with it on the Offy, but it basically should be in line between vac source and the EGR valve. If the truck has a backpressure transducer it gets a little more more complicated but not much.If your EGR valve has a steel line coming out of it and a vac hookup, it should have a backpressure transducer. (Little thing with 3 ports that looks a little like a hockey puck) Find some vac diagrams and it should make sense. Since I don't have an offy to look at I'm not sure how much of it really matters. If you don't have an EGR valve it really won't. I'm assuming with a header you don't have the EGR hooked up anyway. EGR is about the only emissions part I don't mind having, keeps cylinder temps down which lets you run more timing advance without pinging.
