what kind of tranny is in a stock 1979 chevy luv the tranfser case is quite large and i was wondering if it would bolt up to a v-8. just throwing the question in the air.

They probably make a bellhousing adapter but the stock luv trans is in no way gonna hold up to even a bone stock V-8. I think. I wouldn't try it if I were you. If you have a woody for the standard trans, get a muncie rockcrusher 4 speed. Lots of power can go there.
