Kneel down just behind the driver's side door and look up under the bed. Its clipped to the body and plainly visible.
There is also one inside the carb I think.

I"ve got an 80 Luv 4x4. I have my stock gas filter, but I also installed a secondary gas filter up by the carburetor. I like the idea of a little more protection to the carb, and it's a good check point to see fuels going to the carb.

I only see an electric fuel pump clipped on to the frame thats about it, could it be that? Maybe its an electric fuel pump with a fuel filter all in one?

Here is a pic of my truck, look at the front of the tank by the cab in between the frame rail and tank, mine is square (not sure why I got a square one) and is should be sitting inside that round clip just in front of the bed mount on top of the frame.

It should be spliced into the supply line from the tank just a short distance from the frame mounted fuel pump. Start at the pump and trace towards the tank. A stock pump has a filter screen, but it's not serviceable, you must have an in-line filter before the pump or the pump will fail, they don't like dirty fuel.
