Results of my Compression test:

No. 1 Cylinder 105
No. 2 Cylinder 95
No. 3 Cylinder 110
No. 4 Cylinder 110

Well looks like it may be time for a rebuild. The book says they should have been at 170. Well with over 145,000 miles on it and depends on how she was treated I thought perhaps as long as they weren't below or somewhere between 125 to 150 but mainly consistent (whatever the readings) as long as they were even/same in all 4 I would be ok for awhile.

Even though I can still get up to 70 mph; and even after a wet test bringing no. 4 up to 120 looks to me like rebuild time.

What do ya'll think about those readings? I think this would be why I am getting the smoke I mentioned in another thread. Removing the smog stuff was removing a band aid in a sense, not causing the problem but unmasking it. Does that make sense?

I would try adjusting the valves first. It might help a little with the compression.

loosen the rocker arms beat on the valves a little with a rubber or plastic hammer might knock some crud on the valve seats loose.
then adjust the valves.

for the white smoke aka water leak. you may try re torquing the head bolts. you might get lucky.

the bottom end of these trucks are pretty strong usually just a problem with the heads, valves or head gasket causing low compression or leaks.
