1st time my truck ever did this. i need to fix it perty quick cuz its my daily driver. Anytime i get up to or a little past 3750 RPMs, it acts like it hits a rev limiter, i let off the throttle, and it pops and backfires like hell, and it misses but i can pump the pedaland it will run for a few seconds. I can shut the switch off, depress the clutch, turn the switch back on let the clutch go, and it runs fine. Im lost, my dad is kinda confused too, but he wont admit it, lol. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like burnt point or scoring on the inside of the rotor.

well, i drove it to work today, and it just gets worse, now i can only take it to 3000 RPMs, went to NAPA, bought new cap, rotor, and points.
Is there any chance it could be the fuel filter, or pump? I can ease it to about 4100, not floor it, just really gas it really lightly, if i floor it it cuts out at 3000.

yeah i fixed it... i dont take over 3K lol. no its still doing it, but i can shut the ignition switch off for about 15 seconds, while im still rolling, and put it back in gear, turn the switch back on, and it runs fine, unless i take it over 3K.
Ive replaced the fuel filter, put new points, new cap, new rotor, i dont think it could be the spark plugs, i have the Denso Iridium Power, like the best plugs made, MSD 8.5 mm super conductor wires, so i dunno what the problem is!
