I need help. I am working on a LUV truck. I lost the key and cant get a new one over here. why wont it start. my mechanic has by passed the ignition. It will crank but wont turn over. He said that if I had a wiring diagram it might help but I dont know the year. is there a way to tell from the VIN

I'm just guessing, but there is probably a few wires on the back of that switch, and one of them needs to get power to the ignition system somewhere.

For the year check the door jamb. check the tail light.
Is this one of those newer LUVs that we can't get here in USA?
