sand everything the same, so when you paint it it doesnt look wavy. Fix the dents with a hammer and dolley. I have a question for ya,

Take your time, make sure you use guide coat to make the low spots stand out. Make sure and use a block and not your hand. Wet sand the final sandings to get it nice and smooth.
