Has anyone ever seen, or used on of these carbs on their LUV? I was digging around in my dads junkyard today and found a Volkswagen pickup with a DCOE, Lynx intake manifold, and a header! It really suprised me, so then i began wondering if anyone has a sidedraft manifold for a G200. I dunno how true it is but people say these are the best carbs Weber made, but Im not sure about that. Heres a link to one from gemracing's eBay store, GEM PARTS.

I don't about part #'s and such, but in high school in the 80's a few guys had various mini trucks with Weber side draft carbs. They sounded cool and worked well from what I remember.
The problem would be finding a manifold for it to fit your LUV.

Of coarse h.s. kids were probably in the pedal hard all the time, :D but I remember them having a good sucking sound all the time. Like when the secondaries are opened on a stocker with no air cleaner or a weber DGEC floored.

Yes. That would be the 40 part. I think thats the size of the bore / butterfly area.?.? I could be wrong though.

I don't think alluring2B is affiliated with Darren(Gemracing).
Gem Parts Australia always has alot of stuff listed on ebay.au but the prices aren't great.
