#1. My clutch is pretty much soaked in oil, but has no wear, is there any way I can fix it without buying a new one and not risk the chance of it slipping?

#2. I need a carb (didn't come with one) but REALLY don't want to spend $400, are there any aftermarket carbs out there that fit on the stock luv engine? And if not, are there adapters that can make them fit?

#3. Got any parts for sale? :)

Thanks all.

#1 You can very possibly end up with a chatter. It will work and last a long time, but it is very bothersome to leave a stop or back into the driveway when you have a chattering clutch.
If the truck is apart, I would spend the $60 on a new one now. Or slap it together for now and do it all again later.

#2 The Webers on E Bay are $300 with free shipping. That is complete with adapters and all. If you do not need to pass a smog test this seems to be the popular option around here.
I bought one from this place. I should get it tomorrow.(7-25).

#3 What do you need?

You can buy new from a store...
air pump
oil pump
clutch
Weber carb, if you don't have to smog it

and a fan should be available from a junk yard.

Do a search for webers on ebay and you can usually find one used cheap (a lot come with the adapter plate), and you can get a complete rebuild kit cheap on ebay too. That's what I did.

My weber carb (which is a weber 38/38 - but you should look for the 32/36 for your truck) cost me about $75.00 - rebuild kit, shipping and all.

And in the info section here there is a downloadable self-extracting zip file that contains all the info available on every weber carb ever made. Just right-click on it, save it to your hard drive, and click on it and it will unzip itself into a folder full of .pdf files that you can open in adobe reader.

Here's another carb. http://theape.com/newmodel.html

This is the one I have on my truck, ordered from the link above. Very nice lady(Sandy).
Not like the guys at Redline who seem to care less about questions, and have that "man I wish you'd shut the hell up so I can get back to my donut" tone.
