The only power increase you'll feel when you remove the smog stuff is if you have sealed up any air leaks you may have had. It's not so much as a power increase as it is a corrective action of losing power thru worn out emissions crap. Do some testing to see if you have any air leaks. The K&N filter isn't going to be very noticable on a stock engine. Basicly, stock is stock. Getting the motor to breathe better and to get it to pump exhaust out better is always good to do. Uncork the exhaust system and you can feel a differance.

if you whant noticable power get a header and bigger exaust in it. When i did that it was night and day.
A K&N may get you another .5 mpg or something and make it run smoother.

You need a weber 32/36 dgev. Thats what I have. It came with a chrome open element air cleaner with a k&n filter. My truck runs 10 times better. Even gets better gas mileage.
