Damn my truck I think it is starting to mock me!! My problem is I just switched into a 1974 Luv cab onto my existing 76 frame with tranny and motor. I'm thinking no big deal right? Wrong If you look or have a 76 there is a special deal on the driver side that the 74 doesn't have and i belive it has to do with my gas pedal/throttle. Please Help!!!!

It's for the heater. I was wondering what that was at first on my 80, but if you wiggle the knobs on the inside you will see the cable move.

I don't know...

But I'm sure someone else does!

It probably has to do with the different engines...

You should be able to make it work by drilling a few holes and mounting it ...but worst case cut it out then cut the 74 and weld it in...Like they said that controls the water flow into your heater core.... you can also bypass it if you wanted and put a valve in the line that you can turn on manually
