I've successfully completed the job of replacing the inner and outer boots on my luv. If anyone needs any advice I'll gladly give it

OK I highly recommend replaceing the upper and lower ball joints and tie rod ends as well. Make sure that when you buy the upper ball joint that you get the massive nut that holds it on. I couldn't find a metric socket that big so i used a standard socket that was 2 3/8

Other tools that you will need are a tie rod and ball joint separator, metric sockets, cv boot clamp tool. It is also extremely helpful if you have access to a lift, if makes working underneath the vehicle a lot easier.

On one of the upper ball joints I had to cut it off with a cutting torch due to not being able to remove it with the ball joint separator. It is also a good idea to just break the big upper ball joint nut rather than trying to remove it because they tend to seize thereselves to the ball joint and are vehicle difficult to remove

I would start by removing the 4 wheel drive components, caliper, strut rod, steering knuckle, shock absorber, skid plate. Once you get to the axle itself cut the bands on the inner cv boot and slid it back. Push the axle in just a bit and there will be big retainer that you will have to pop out with a screwdriver allowing you to remove the axle assy. Remove the c-clip on the inner joint and this will allow you to separate the joint and remove the inner and outer boots. The rest is pretty much just putting things back together. I would repack the bearings and replace the grease seals while going back together with it also. Hope this helps a bit
