i would like to know what alternator to buy to switch convert my 1980 chevy luv 2 wd from an generator to an alternator
please respond with any information thanks

I am pretty sure all of the LUV's came factory with alternators, what makes you think you have a generator?

i dont know about that the truck was from california givin to me from my grandfather and i bought alot of stuff in it but i need an alternator to run it all and my truck has a generator not an alternator so i just need to no what alternator will work

All LUV's came with alt's, I am sure you have a alt with a external regulator which is how all LUV's came from the factory. If you really think you have a generator then just go to any parts store and ask for the Alt for your model and year since generators never came on the trucks.
