Anyone got an extra lower seat belt latch(??), the part that comes up through the seat.
Mine has an issue, makes 3 times now I've litteraly been trapped in the seat because the latch won't release without a fight.

May try the WD40, for now I just swapped it over to the passeger side. Let the wife fight to get out ;)

Mine are 28 year old faded maroon, probably the worst looking part of my interior. If I ever come up with some buckets, I'll swap out the whole set.

The WD-40 should work. Fixed a stubbor one that I had on my '75.

The rear seat belts from an '85ish Trooper have the right latch pattern for the stock belt, but are about 4 inches shorter. That's what I've got in the '79 now. Mine were actually broken and missing pieces..

I haven't confirmed it yet, but it also looks like mid 80's S10/S10 Blazers may work. They look about the right length and they even come in a hideous maroon color...

I got a tan set. Driver's side. Send me an e-mail if you want it. It came out of my '78 after I swapped it for a '79. I found out that the seat belts were not the same, so you need the whole set to match the latches. I can photograph it for ya if ya want.

Yes. I've done the whole "piece together a set of belts" myself, and I don't know what years, but some buckles and some latches do not match and will not work together. Try to get a complete set so you know it will work. BTW, I'm talking factory LUV belts.
