Good stuff, looks awsome. My dash is in bad bad shape, would one of the caps make mine look good for temp fix? I'm talking most of its missing on top by the vent. I want a whole dash but 400 is alot for me at the moment.

I can vouch for the recap, installed one on my previous Luv, current 79 has one and have seen a few other's before with them. My 77 had a large area missing just above the intruments back then I used some simple foam to fill it in.

If I was repairing one now I would use this stuff http://www.3riversarchery.com/Product.a ... 0&i=3260-1

have used it before to repair 3D archery targets, the stuff is amazing, little tricky to work with at first. Easy to trim back to final shape, once set it takes on a consistency of the foam that is usualy found under padded dashes with a little more give. I've even thought that if one was creative enough, it could be moulded very closely as it sets and covered with vinyl.

I have talked with him a couple times and I was going to buy 2 save on shipping and sell one. He did not have one when I was ready and said he was making some in a couple weeks. I am thinking about one But a cap might work for me.

well got the column sorted out and together and the radio in just need a shop to make the radio face plat for me out of some aluminum want it to look a little like the original one ( curved at the sides)...
so floor high bean and e-brake flasher are in steering wheel on...had to custom make a wheel adaptor for the wheel and then I try to put it on and its a 6 not 5 hole so hade to get a nardi to grant adaptor because the one I had made was for grant wheels...just need to wire stereo and eq run the roof console speaker wires and then off to the shop for the head liner

i wanted a early 60's so there was no key in it so i found me a 63 chrysler 300 tilt column for $50... took it home and cut the bottom off so it came up just short to the fire wall on the inside, then took the luv column and cut the part that mounts to the fire wall off of it but left about 3 inches of tubing on it then cut the old column shaft had it machined down to fit into the chrysler shaft got an exhaust reducer to fit the tilt to the luv column and wala...

tilt on left luv part middle and then luv shaft

I've used this product before on my kid's school projects and it's super easy to work with and shape. It doesn't seem to have a very good shelf
