Far as I can tell, my carb is a DGV and the primary is in the same posistion as the stock was. And my throttle linkage is clockwise.

With a 38/38 its not as crucial but with a 32/36 which side is the primary on????

Hence the DFV is the right carb.

I won't take anyone's address yet. I don't want to string anyone along, so I am going to honestly say right now I am not sure now whether I want to even deal with these people anymore. I am so frustrated with this whole thing already. I haven't heard a damn thing from them and it has been like 3 weeks already since I talked to them last. I never got any info mailed to me, nor a phone call. I don't know whether they just don't want to sell them to me or if they just have other things of more importance to worry about? Or maybe the sales rep I have been dealing with is just an idiot? Who knows. I know that if I don't hear anything from them soon then I am just going to give up on the whole ordeal. I am tired of making long distance phone calls to California with no outcome and if this is the customer service I am going to have to expect, then I am not sure if I want to invest my 5 grand into this. Don't get me wrong, I want to try and help everyone by keeping these manifolds available (maybe even one or 2 for myself), but I don't want to have to keep getting the run-around. Maybe I should ask to speak to a different sales rep. I don't wan't to cause problems with them either. I am so disgusted at this point I think if I talk to them again I would probably tell them to go f*** themselves. So I don't know, I guess I will just keep waiting and see if I get any info from them. If I have any updates I will definitely post them here. And once again, just so everyone knows, I have honestly been pursuing this. I have not been stringing anyone along. If it all went the way I intended it, we would all probably have had the manifolds installed in our trucks by now. So you can thank Offenhauser for the crappy customer service.

Try getting to talk to the big boss. You must have talked to the guy I spoke to when I first contacted them that sounded about as bright as a turd with legs.

There is no way the top guy I talked to there would turn down that much business or soil their rep by jerking you around.

If you want, I'll put in a call to them and try to help you get the info you want. I'm on the west coast up here in washington state and I can bill it to my business

This is BS...we should all be getting our intakes by now.

Well after being pissed for the last couple weeks I decided to try and call Offenhauser again. Well, after telling a different guy what was up, he put me on hold for 2 or 3 minutes, came back and said that the guy I was dealing with would be the only one to handle this order and he was on the other line. I gave the guy my number again and he was supposed to have the guy I was dealing with call me. Well, nothing. I will try and call again Friday if I have a chance. Also the guy mentioned that they and the foundry are closed next week for the holiday. I don't know what to make of this anymore. You would think they would be all over this to make a sale. We all should have had these like a month ago if they weren't screwing around. I will keep everyone posted on what I find out, but I am about ready to say the heck with these people.

Well unfortunately the guy never called me back last week (no big surprise there). I am really disgusted with the customer service I have been receiving. They are closed all this week, so I will have to try to contact them next week sometime. I will keep everyone posted on what happens. I will add you to the list Dustinicus and hopefully we can make this happen for the benefit of all of us. Hope everyone has a good holiday!

8O 8O Wow!

Wouldn't a 4 barrel be just be too much carb for a 4 banger?

I had to lean the dickens out of my weber 38/38 as it is.

You would probably have to have a good port job and cam to make it work right... but the book said 20 hp on datsun and other small trucks and 25hp gain on the luv G180 76/80

I talked to the guy at Offenhauser Tuesday afternoon and he said the Dual Plane model he believes will bolt up directly to the Weber 32/36, but the Offenhauser 6204 will be the better performer. Anyway, the 6204 is what everyone wants and is what we will be going with. He is supposed to send me what info and pictures he has, so I will post scans of that here when I receive it. (Hopefully this time he will actually send it out!!!) Also he said he will be calling me today with the details on placing the order with the foundry. (I still don't know what the heck he has been doing or has thought the last couple months or more because I wanted these ordered back then!!!) Anyway, hopefully this time the ball will be rolling and we can hopefully have these in a couple months. Once again I apologize for the delay (it wasn't on my end), and I will still keep everyone informed with info as I receive it.

It would have been better news if he called me today with more details as he said he would. I guess we will just have to keep waiting and see.

if your running that head/block setup then you might need more than a cam and carb, that particular setup will net you less HP that a stock 180/180 or 200/200 engine setup
