I am looking to change the fluid in my transmission , it is a 4 speed. Does anyone know what wt. oil to use? It is a 1979 Luv. How about the rear end grease?

Thanks,

I used non-synthetic 30wt in my tranny, seems to work. As for the rearend, I used 70wt. gear oil.

Yea. The book says to use motor oil in the manual tranny, not 90wt like normal.

Is this ture? Motor oil in the tranny. I will have to check my book. Never heard of 30wt in a tranny but I guess they do it in motorcycles. Maybe less friction to unleash that 75hp of the stock luv.

Yep, it's 30W motor oil. This is from my Series 8 Chey LUV manual.
