Something must be rounded up for the metric conversion with that stock spec because I get 111.17 cu with those numbers. Still, pretty close. It goes up to 113.2 at .030 over.

Sure, he was one of the clowns who hung out with Wally and Eddie Haskel. He was played by Frank Bank.

Clarence Rutherford.

Leave It to Beaver is an American television situation comedy that ran from 1957 to 1963. It was produced by Gomalco Productions (1957-1961) and by Kayro Productions (1961-1963), and distributed by Revue Studios.

CBS first aired the show, on October 4, 1957, but decided to drop it within twelve months. ABC, having faith in the series, picked it up, and ran it for another five years, from October 2, 1958 until its September 12, 1963 conclusion.

The show was built around young Theodore "Beaver" Cleaver (played by Jerry Mathers, whose character was given the nickname as a baby when his older brother mispronounced "Theodore" as "Tweedor" and their parents felt "Beaver" was better), and his awkward-but-earnest attempts to navigate older brother Wally's (Tony Dow) pre-teen and teenage growing pains, while heeding his gently-firm-but-loving parents, Ward (Hugh Beaumont) and June Cleaver (Barbara Billingsley).

Adding to the boy's curiosity, chagrin, and education were his own spunky friends, particularly the perpetually apple-munching Larry Mondello (Rusty Stevens) in the early seasons, and Gilbert Bates (Stephen Talbot) in the later seasons; the old fireman, Gus (Burt Mustin), his sweet-natured-but-no-nonsense elementary school teachers, Miss Canfield (Diane Brewster) and Miss Landers (Sue Randall); later, Mrs. Rayburn (Doris Packer); in the early seasons, Beaver's nemesis, Judy Hensler (Jeri Weil); and Wally's pals, equally awkward Clarence (Lumpy) Rutherford (played by Frank Bank) and smart alec Eddie Haskell (Ken Osmond). The archetype of the Janus-like wiseguy who was the rebel among his peers and the obsequious yes man ("Why, good evening, Mrs. Cleaver") to the elders he mocked behind their backs, Haskell ended up becoming at least as iconic as the show itself.

The family lived in the town of Mayfield. Beaver attended Grant Avenue Grammar School, and Wally, Mayfield High School. At Mayfield H.S., Wally lettered in four sports: football, basketball, baseball, and track. Wally's most well-known girlfriends were Julie Foster (Cheryl Holdridge) and Mary Ellen Rogers (Pamela Baird).

Knowing something should count for something and even if I don't know everything that doesn't make me ignorant.

I'm going to work on my LUV today and turn this contraption off.

Another down. I broke a bolt off trying to follow the recommended torque, and it's a devil of a place to do it in. The front oil seal retainer inside the transmission bell housing. I'm thinking I'm going to have to pull the whole transmission to do the job right. I already tried for awhile on my knees inside the engine compartment. I drilled it but the easy-out won't go in, so it's a mess. So it's going to be driveline and tranny for me. Not today. Just don't feel like it.

I know this advice is a little late. But one of my volkswagen buddies runs a tap or die on everything before reassembly. he says the time is well worth it. also be very careful with the easy outs because they can break and then you will have a real mess on your hands. Trying to get that hardened steel out.

Maybe the bolt you were putting in was too long and bottomed out. that might have been the cause for breakage.

and last but not least I think rondog was just joking around with the ignorant comment. the problem with some jokes in text is we all put our own tone on them when we read. Plus you are probably made at that darn broken bolt. nothing makes me madder than breaking a bolt.
good luck

The best easy outs i have found so far are the square ones as they don't swedge the bolt against the treads like the round ones do and you can work them back and forth

I just returned from the hardware store, and I got both types of easy outs. I got the round one made by Vermont-American®, and a square one made by EnderesTools®. I'll go ahead and try the square one. It cost more and is guaranteed for life.

The bolt I was using is the bolt that came from there.
