i would like to know if there are any ill effects to taking all that crap (smog) stuff off of my engine. Ive already taken off the pump, the brackets to the pump, and the thingy that goes above the exhaust manifold.I bought some pipe plugs from AutoZone and put them on with a little Loctite, so what else needs to go? I want the engine to look clean, not like a premature baby with all kinds of hoses and tubes attached to it. Also, i want to buy a weber carburetor, so if anyone has any ideas, tell me. Thanks

if you buy a weber you can get rid of alot of the vac lines and the air cleaner that helps alot im take all my wireing loose and reruning it though

I'd leave the EGR, it does help you get a little more advance on the timing for a little more power. Without it my 79 was hard to keep from pinging on any kind of long pull up a hill.
