The lower half of the doors' (both sides) weatherstripping is gone on my LUV, and it's really cold out right now. Wendy will be driving the LUV daily for at least another week, so I would like to get the doors sealed back up to help her stay warm...

I have found some generic weatherstripping on JC Whitney, but don't know which profile, or if there is a better source. As a stop-gap I'm going to buy some cheap foam tape, but would like to get the right part for it.

Is there a standard weatherstripping that will fit these trucks, and if so, where can I get it?

Thanks for any leads,
Stephen

Thanks, I had done a lot of searching, and hadn't found that post.

If you got some time to kill, try and find a suitable back glass weatherstrip. That has to be the all time most sought after piece of rubber for a LUV.

Geez, we should hold a contest of some kind. The one who finds a reputable source for a replacement back glass weatherstrip wins something.

Hey Stephen, did you order the weatherstripping for the doors?

Meanie, I got nothing but time, so I'll look for the window seal. I'll check on Monday.

And if you want to go cheap I paid $10 or $15 for the pair. I have found out that the dodge ramD50 first body style has one that work great on the luv and already have the sharp corner for our doors and most I have found are still like new and go on very easy just like the originals you just have to cut out about a foot from the bottom

Do you have a place to take a door inside and work on it? I would be interested to help you out with this...

I am with blue meanie....There is a ongoing search for back glass rubber even down here in the south. I actually have found something that looks close but I don't really know if it will work, but a Ford courier looks real close not to sure of the availability of this product either.

Good luck with your weather stripping stephenhj.
