What are the absolute minimum vac lines needed on the 79 4x4? No cat, already disconnected the EGR tube.

Wanting to get rid of all the fluff under the hood.

With out going out and looking at mine I would say
The distributor advance,
The brake booster,
and the shorties to the diaphrams on the stock carb. if you still have one.

Dont forget the e.g.r valve. It kinda counts as vacuum because it has to connect to the intake.

Having disconnected the EGR tube, can't I just pinch or cap off the EGR's vac?

Pardon me. I made an error with my last post. I meant to say p.c.v. not e.g.r. Yes, if you have removed the e.g.r., just cap off the vacuum lead.
Positive crankcase ventilation on the other hand ties directly to the intake so it would be a good idea to keep it functional. It has no power robbing effects on the engine and it's beneficial in keeping crankcase pressure stable and having cleaner oil longer.
