If you use the stock type it will cost about 60 bucks. I got one from advance auto for around 25 bucks thats oval for 2inch pipe that comes from a mid 70's chevy car (not sure which car just check for cheapest that was about the same length as the factory one). Or you can go with a turbo if you don't mined a little nosy.

My dad has a stock truck we used a cherry bomb glasspack, and I used one on my old stock truck, sounded nice, wasnt too loud. . . but then again, I don't mind an open exhaust sbc either haha.

I ran a Thrush muffler for a while and it sounded pretty good but it might be a bit too loud for some.
I used to drive along side streets and when a group of kids were out, i'd kill the ignition with the truck still rolling in gear for a secound or two. Then i'd turn the ignition back on and the truck would backfire really loud and scare the hell out of everyone.
The last time i tried that i ended up splitting the muffler open.

Good times...

We replaced the blown-out glasspack with a generic turbo-type muffler. The exhaust splits right after the muffler, going to two tailpipes - who knows what the previous owner was thinking.
The new muffler is just right. A slightly sporty sound, but not obnoxious like the old glasspack.

thats a pretty cool trick Blue Meanie, these old folks in a RV park down my road are always callin the sheriff on me for doin doughnuts on the road. I went out last night about 11:00 and drove down there and turned off the ignition for about 15 seconds (I have a cherry bomb, I dont know if that helps or not) and turned it back on and BOOM!!! That was perty cool, now I think I have the upper hand.

If you put on all 2 1/2 inch exhaust pipe with a cherry bomb and a cheapo auto parts store stock muffler...it will practically last forever and sound pretty nice for a price that is pretty easy on the wallet.

I also added a chrome resonator tip at the very end of mine right at the back just to look cool...lol

That way, when I am just cruisin' around any cops it's nice and quiet...but when I wanna put my foot in it, it has a real nice rumble to it.
