Too cool! Just a few thoughts, in Texas we can register a vehicle as an antique vehicle if it's 25 yrs or older. This does limit the amount of useage(IF you get caught) to driving to and from shows displays or in parades. But this also exempts you from the the required yearly state inspection. So I have a reproduction 1978 state inspection to go on as soon as I change over to antique, and as a bonus, Texas has Y.O.M. Plates. Which means that IF you can find an original set of Texas license plates from the year that your vehicle was manufactured and they are in good shape you can register them and use them on your vehicle.

They stopped allowing Y.O.M. plates on "classic" registration as of September first unfortunately, although you can still use them for an antique registration. I got lucky and found a set of '78 plates and got mine registered in August so I could be grandfathered in.
