Before i attempt to rip out my side windows. I want to run this problem by anyone to see if there's a good way to handle it. When i roll my windows up fully, the window will drop about 1/4" when i let go of the crank. The windows will rattle especially at idle. Is there something specific i should look for? Are there specific parts that need refurbishing?I'd like to get this taken care of before i tint the windows. All help in this matter would be great. Thanks

your nylon/plastic wheels that run on the tracks might be broken.
I would just take the door panel off and pull the plastic back and roll the window up and down while you watch it. you will most likely be able to tell what is worn out or out of place.

The arm could be bent and making it crank a little past the end of the teeth. Seems like a reasonable guess as shoving down on a window to get a hook on the door lock is a fairly common way of trying to break into a car/truck.
