Your coil needs power and a pulsating ground to work. Use a volt ohms meter and make sure you have power to the coil while cranking. If you do, use a dwell meter and make sure the points are still good and making contact. If you do not have a dwell meter, disconnect the neg side of the coil and run a test light to the neg wire(from the points) to the poss side of the batt and crank, if the light flickers, you should have spark, if not the points are not making contact. Also if your coil is shorted across the windings that will leave you with no spark as well. Also make sure your condenser is OK.
