Here are some pics of the OEM type filter, and the Purolator filter

If you open the fuel pump, you'll find a gasket and magnet. The Purolator filter comes with a new gasket. The red filter gets inserted small hole first. The flange on the red filter will stick out just enough to contact the gasket, and ensure a nice fit when the whole she-bang is put back together.

And, in case you're wondering why my replacement filter isn't in my pump, it's because that didn't solve the problem and I put a new pump on. So now I have a spare filter. What a little journey!

Just random info that I'm finding out as I go along!
