I have 74 and a 79 parts truck and 2 new aftermarket fender would like a better hood then I have. Well todays question is about the valance on the early truck they have a valance that is pretty large a a smaller one below that. I was goingto use the bumper off the 79 but the valance between the bumper and the grille would be different correct? so which front should I go with bothe the piece off the 74 are in great condition, the smaller one still has a sticker on the back. so should I use the 79 2 headlight bumper valance setup or the or the 4light valances and hope to find a bumper or the 2 light with the old style valances just want to see what everybody thinks

i like the 2 headlight with the old bumper and valance , like the one on mine and when my son gets here we are converting his also.... and just a side note i have found more 72/75 bumpers in great shape compared to the 76/80 thats my $0.02

you will need to do some mods or make new mounting brackets if you go with a non stock configuration. I would do a couple mockups and decide what you like the look of and go from there.
