 Post subject: gauge cluster

i got a fully restored gauge cluster off ebay but the plug at the back for wiring is different as well as the plug for the speedo cable, is this the same gauge cluster in later model luvs as mine is a 73. does any1 have a speedo cable with this attachment, and wiring plug on a parts truck that i can use?

My 1980 cluster looks like that, but I just put a new speedo cable in it and it didn't look like that on the back side. (of coarse I was on my back and under the dash) But mine just pushed on and clicked. Done. Yours looks totally round and I think mine had a flat side on it.

is the wiring plug the same? i think it may be the same speedo cable too, this 1 looks like ya clip it on, my 1 atm ya have to screw in

I just went out and looked under there . What you have is the same as my 80. The plug and the speedo look the same as yours.

well in that case, does any1 have an old speedo cable and a wireing lume they can cut the plug off from a 1980 luv?

it should work out, its been fully restored, plus the 1 i have now has nothing wrong with it.
