i just replaced the hole carrier , unbolted the axles at the end, slide them out a bit replace carrier and your done. i think it took about 1 hr. was not long

Alright, I'm not an axle man, so is the carrier the front cover on the axle? I have another one of those...

its the part that the drive shaft bolts to.... i think like 10 or 12 bolts hold it on and of course the axle shafts need to be pulled out a bit to get the carrier out. i think i pulled them out about 3 in. on each side, 4 bolts hold them on if i remember right and you get to the dolts from the back side of the brake housing... don't quote me its been awhile
