Just wondering if anyone needs a manifold? I know there were a couple of you that wanted one and I haven't heard anything in a while. Let me know if any of you are ready for one. I posted over at the Isuzu P'up site a few weeks ago too. I guess the G series motor isn't very popular over there since I haven't had any interest there. Maybe I will bump those threads up over there soon. You guys may see a manifold pop up on eBay in the near future so don't be alarmed if the price is higher. All of you here on the LUV truck site would still get the price I have been selling them for, but on eBay I would have to cover my costs on the fees, so I will list them for more. I hope there is some more demand out there for these since I am sitting on quite a few of them. I want to keep these alive as long as I can, but if it takes me too long to sell this run, then I might just be done with it. But as long as there is at least a little demand out there, then I will re-order as needed just to keep them in stock and available. Thanks again to everyone for their patience while I went through the process of getting these.

No problem. I had you on my list. I just wanted to throw this note out there to remind anyone who was interested or if anyone new is interested in one. Just let me know when you are ready for one and I will PM you with all the details.

Yeah the falling Dollar would help ease that $50+ shipping fee over to Australia! Let me know when you are ready for one if you ever want one on the future.

I just thought I'd add a little note here to let everyone know I haven't forgot about all of you and I still intend to post a little tutorial with pictures about installing these Offy intakes on a G series engine. Unfortunately I've had a real serious head and chest cold for over 2 weeks that also caused a bad inner ear infection in my left ear that was one of the most painfull things I've ever experienced.

After a visit to the local ER, I've been taking some huge antibiotic pills and some antibiotic ear drops every 4 hours for nearly a week and I'm finally feeling like I might just put ths all behind me and get something done around here.

So I should get to that within the next week and I'll post it all right away. Thanks for your patience and I'm really sorry for the delay. I hope it hasn't been too much of an inconvenience for everyone.

Thanks Bud. I'm starting to feel much better each day, but so far this year hasn't been too healthy for me...lol

First I busted my hand all up, then I got this horrible head and chest cold, then my inner ear somehow got all infected. I've been spending way too much time at the ER, the pharmacy, and the DR's office lately. And it all hasn't been helping my wallet one little bit either.

And of course my sympathetic and understanding wife has been giving me tons of crap about my tired old worn-out body slowly falling apart piece by piece...lol

Anyone know on this? Maybe it would with some kind of modifications? I am thinking someone asked about it fitting on a 2.3 in past posts in this thread, but I don't think it was ever answered. I am thinking I even asked Offy about it and I believe it was the same response, maybe some kind of adaptor. Hopefully this can be answered for you by someone who has possibly done this or knows if it can be done.

It will fit.

The EFI manifolds off the Impulse turbo motor and the 2.6L are commonly used on the G161Z, G180Z and G200Z.

The only difference is that the G180 etc have a small water/air bleed hole between no 3 and 4 cyls. Im not sure how the offy is setup for this.

But it wouldnt matter as the 2.3 and 2.6L dont need it.

The 2.3L and 2.6L motors have a hole for the push rod for a mechanical fuel pump and a oil drainback hole in between the runners for no 2 and 3 cyls and i would say they both need to be blocked off. Again depends on the shape of the offy manifold.

Also the outlet on the head for the thermostat passage is at a different height if i remember right. Its not much difference and has little or no effect.

There is an article on the ozgemini.com forum about blocking the oil passages in a 2.3-2.6 head. Bung the push rod hole up to the camshaft and some sort of liquid metal or two part metal epoxy to block off the drain back passage.

Cheers, Bob.

Thanks for that info! I am lost when it comes to trying to understand all of that, but I am sure it helps answer the question. So I guess that the manifold will work with the 2.3 and 2.6 with some modifications and workarounds. Any other input on this is welcome. Thanks rodeobob!

Before I put my intake on my motor, I'm going to get it polished (not a show polish). I think it will look nice, and if I get any oil on the intake, it will be easier to clean off. 8)

Post a pic when you get it polished so we can see how it turns out. Good idea on that. Can you do this yourself, or what kind of place would do it for you? If it looks pretty good after you have it done, I might think about it for mine before I have it installed.

I'll post some pics when I get that down. My dad had his offy intake polished at a Polshing shop in Sacramento. I think they charged him $75
I've heard of people polishing them with a dremel, but $75 not a bad price

Hey thanks for the Intake great service! Was wondering if anyone has the tutorial yet? I have a CA truck and have to figure out how to get rid of all the emissions crap. What to keep and what not to keep! I live in CA but am in the military so I can register it in my hometown. Thanks again for the manifold. Ive already ripped out the old one and the exhaust manifold. Getting ready to install weber, intake and the headers this weekend. cant wait. Probably going to be on the site looking for answers this weekend.

Hopefully Taz will do his walkthrough soon and hopefully some others will chime in with the help that you need. Glad you received the manifold safely. 8)
