Drunks and drug addicts are great at convincing people they are sorry for their actions. Come Friday night the beer will be flowing again and he is on to his next victim. Don't let him off the hook or he will never have pay for his mistakes. Harsh but true I am afraid.

take this info from a disabled officer. go to his insurance he will not stop drinking and driving. I will bet my house on it. I have seen this to many time. Don't take this wrong I am not trying to piss anyone off but these people have no reason to tell the truth I have heard every excuse in the book the fact is he was drunk and was driving lucky he didn't kill anyone. He needs to go to jail and losse his driving privliage.

contacted my insurence company and filed a claim they kind of acted like they didnt know what my uninsured moterist coverage was for...

apparently saying "he refuses to call his insurence company or provide me with his information" to my insurence sounded a lot like "well i have collision coverage on her car lets use it"

apparently im suppose to hear from my adjuster by monday.
kind of skipped going to the guys house today.

Didn't the police arrest him on that day? They should have done a complete accident report, impounded his truck, and given you all his info. Or you should get his info in the report, once you get a copy.

But also your insurance company, if they are a good one, will fix you up, investigate, and go after his insurance co. for their own reimbursement.

Maybe. After being rear ended, State Farm was ready to sell me down the river and pay off the other guy. All State farm cared about was getting my car fixed as cheaply as possible.

My wife is a State Farm agent. We dont seem to have any of that in her office. I would say if the customer is not happy with a claim, my wife calls the adjuster and gets it corrected. You pay for insurance and to be reprasented. Make sure you get both from your agent or find one that will do it.

from all the jackasses that have hit me 16 year old girl, 90 year old man, police officer, and this guy i have found that the higher the premium and or copay the more willing the insurance company is to work with you... i have always bought cheap vehicles and drive them till some one totals them out while parked

as for them arresting this guy where ar you people from they only arrest domestic batterers, chimos, and drug addicts (not to be confused with drug dealers those make the state money) arresting some one for doing 75 mph on city street leaving 100 yards of skid marks leading up to the impact zone of where my truck was parked... 3 blocks outside of 2 different school zones (both elementary) apparently doesn't warrant arresting the guy...

we have settled out side the insurance companies help... he has paid me what was fair $xxx.00 for damages which will cover the parts i need to put this truck back in to the condition it was in before he hit it as well as the truck across the street...

remember i had rebuilt this truck with used parts (including the truck and parts to keep it running i only have less then $900 cash in to the truck) and it will be rebuilt with such... there was more dents in this truck when i bought it then this jackass managed to do hitting it at 35+.... and you all have seen what i had done the first time around... this time there will be less bondo and more work with a hammer and dolly... though this time i will have to retack some spot welds in the corner of the bed

there is a (i believe) 1980 single head light) luv in the yard with entire front grill i can salvage baskets, buckets, grill and covers from???

California! We throw the book at everyone around here. Especially irresponsible losers, like the one that hit you. He would post bail, get a court date, probably lose his license for 6 months to a year, and pay some expensive fines. We slap it to drunk drivers pretty hard out here.

I think James was being a bit sarcastic, but with good reason.
He's lucky the cops came out at all here in Spokane.
Heck, the police department here has had their budget cut so bad that we don't even have a property theft crimes unit any longer.
You get ripped off, you're on your own.

i think the only reason they sent cops for this was because 9+ people called in to report it... it took them a little over 2 hours to respond

Sounds like a chief needs fired. It is law that when a call is made involving a acident with or without injury with a value of over 500 dollars they have to respond. Next every state has laws for DUI. The only reason I can see that they didnt take him to jail is he said he started drinking afterwards. It would take everyone that saw him impared at the time of the acident to put it in writing that they smelled the booze and how he was acting. This type of case is hard to prove when the vic and perp live so close and all he had to do was drive across the street and park then it becomes a he said he said thing. The officers will tell you take it to small claims court. sucks but true. The officers will now be on the look out for him. Trust me he will get caught! Drive drunk once they will do it again and agian till they kill someone or get caught. Sad but true seen it to many times and it is more of the kill someone then the other. Let me know what parts you need have a lot of them here.

willis even with multipul witnesses stating that he smelled of liquor and stumbling out of his truck... there's no way they can actually prove that he was drunk while driving... there is no lab test that will say when a person was or wasnt drinking and after 2 hours from time of accident till cops showed up most of the liquor would have been out of his system... his neighbor did how ever get arrested that night... for punching him in the face and taking his truck keys away (assault and possession of stolen property) oh Willis you got a throttle cable that isn't stretched? i got 3 of them here
and all of them are 1/4-3/4" to long and i am to lazy to fab up a new one bracket...

today i went to 3 junk yard ended up with 2 lacerations on my left hand, cut my wrist (damn roll pan is sharp), rear bumper and eye lid bumper off a 74 (any one got a lense for these lights will post pics once its on the truck), electronic distributor off a 1.9 pup, tail light,

ImageImage

there was a set of rims i nabbed off an 80 4x4, was going to nab the whole front end (grill, buckets, bezels in prep for the single head light conversion) but i didn't have a Phillips screw driver... it was a weird camo job ripper that the one youd listed??? there was only little bit of rust on that truck hahahahahahah (im still debating header or mani $150 vs free its hard to decide lol)

Not quite true rondog. If your illegal, you skate by without a hitch.
