Well after the wife yelled all day like a banshee, I will be bringing the truck up front and into the garage. At least the truck dosen't yell at me! :ebiggrin I will go through everything in reverse starting with the dizzy and the pictures posted by ethelkilledfred( :? ). One step and then try to start it. Also as was mentioned before, I will install a pressure regulator for the fuel. The internet is full of information if you are persistent and type it in several different ways. Of course this site is the first stop!

Good to hear it, good luck. I found most of my problem solving here in the search. Very valuable 411. Good luck.

Well the engine has been torn down AGAIN. This time I plan to take pics of everything as I line/set it up. Of course the gremlins had a field day with me! Since the garage floor is six inches higher than the ground, I had to use my four wheeler to push the truck up the smaal incline and into the garage. I used a bit too much umpf and the truck rolled into my workbenck damaging the front of the hood and bending the hinge points. Then, when it abruptly stopped, the drivers door which wasn't closed completely, swung open and the little bit of window that was sticking up, hit some junk on the side and shattered! To finish this lousy day off, I dropped my laptop about 12 inches and destroyed the hard drive. Now I am using the old tower computer (5 years old) to stay on-line. Boy, am I a good luck charm or what?

Should call this the disassembly of the reassembled engine! Anyway, I got back to working on it today and decided while it is apart to decarbon the valves and head ports. This should take my mind off why it won't run and maybe I'll can look at it with fresh eyes. Found out my wife bought a MSD 6AL off Ebay and am waiting for it to arrive. Making notes on my thinking tablet (pencil and paper) about directions to take and upgrades, my wife peeks at it, and if we talk about it, it usually gets me what I want!
If this severe dizziness would go away I could go much faster. But the doctor is trying to figure out what's wrong. I've even been told not to drive it's so bad. Not that my LUV is driveable! :D

Finally got it running! Don't have a clue what I did though. Just went through EVERYTHING with a fine tooth comb. Set the timing and think the carb jets need to be changed since I can turn the mixture screw several turns without affecting the engine. Also plan to dump the electric choke for a manual one since I either don't understand how to set it or just too dingy to get it working. But hey, it friggin runs!
