Can anyone tell me how to check, fix and or repair the diaphram on the hitachi carb. that opens up the secondaries.

Remove the short hose from the actuator, put a length of tubing over the connector stub and suck on the other end. If you draw air easily, the diaphragm is leaking. I don't know how you could repair a leak and still get the secondary throttle to kick in accurately. The arm that moves them is attached.
