I was wondering if anyone familiar with Chevy Luvs can help me with my problem? I have a 1976 Luv. The generator shelled out and I replaced it. I drove the truck 4 blocks then the charge light on the dash came on. I found that the truck was overcharging the battery. I replaced the voltage regulator. This still did not cure the problem. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe a short in the charging system.I had a 89 firebird and it was over charging that was caused by a short in the charging system.
