I was drivin' the old luv at work the other day. From station to station cleaning up at the gun club. I started the truck up through it in reverse, gassed it up and let off the clutch and it just died. Didn't stutter, hesitate, knock, ping or break. Just stopped, as if I had taken the key out. Couldn't get any spark out of it after that. I've done the electric ignition upgrade a while back, but haven't put alotta miles on it since then. Any ideas on what part of my electrical system took a dump on me?

I guess I'd start by verifiying that there is power to the ignition system. On a stocker you could just wire the coil straight from the battery, but I'm not 100% sure how that would do on the electronic ignition system. The write up isn't too clear on what wires on the module do what for me (with little to no electronic ignition experience) to figure out without a book and I'm out working right now. Basically though I'm thinking you want to make sure you have 12 volts going into the ignition system, wherever it is supposed to. :)

It could be your coil, module, distributor, or wiring so you don't have a lot of parts to check into. You might just check all the easy stuff like stick a different main coil/disti wire on it. One break in that wire would be enough to cause no spark. Swap any parts you have spares of. That and checking all your wiring connections, ground to the module, etc should find the problem eventually.
