 Post subject: cam swap questions

can the cam be swapped with the head still on the block? what about the valve springs?can I zip tie the camshaft sprocket to the chain to avoid the ever popular 180?can somebody walk me thru this,please?

Yep, it is just that easy. You wire/ziptie the chain the sproket, remove the sproket, then unbolt the rocker arm assembly and remove it. The cam will then be free. You don't have to worry about the valves and springs, they will just stay sitting in the head.
