 Post subject: Need body parts!
PostPosted: Sat Apr 30, 2005 7:51 am
Can anybody tell me if any of these companies selling aftermarket parts( such as directautobodyparts.com) are for real? I'm having doubts about giving out a credit card # to a place I'm not familiar with and they have not answered my request's for a phone # so I can call with questions before I buy. I am looking for front fenders, grille, apron,f. bumper for my '80 Luv.

Hi Bob, Thanks for the reply, I'm just off interstate 80 in central pennsylvania. I've scoured every bone yard in my area, the chevy luvs are near extinction. Many links on the luvtruck.com site list the parts I need but when I call they are out of stock.

if you were over here in California I could get you the fenders and grill from a local boneyard.

I just ordered a set of fenders from these guys. I asked around the site about these fenders and the replies have been positive. I can tell you more at the end of next week when the parts arrive.
They might have some other stuff too for the Luv but unfortunately, they're out of hoods.

The fenders showed up last wednesday from A-1 auto recyclers. Dad sent me some pics and they look pretty good. Now i need to get ahold of the painter.
