Hello all,
I had some questions regarding the wiring of my new ignition switch. The old owner had lost the keys to the truck, so I've got to get new switches and doorlocks and such. I did pick up a universal-fit switch from the parts store. I think it is actually for a Jeep. It has 4 poles on it, where as the stock switch had 5, but 2 of the wires (for ignition) are of the same color, black with thin yellow stripe. On my new switch I simply attached both black & yellow wires to the same pole, being the one marked "IGN". I still dont have a battery (coming tomorrow), so I havent had a chance to try it yet, but does this seem correct to everyone? Thanx for any input.

Go to Information on the main site page here and scroll down to the wiring diagram for your LUV. Find the ignition switch and check for the color coding on the wires. (R for red, Y for yellow, etc.)
