On my truck i've notice that the dimmer switch is very sensitive about me touching it. If I hit a bump on the road or if I bump into it at night the brights will come on and the dims will stay on too. Also, after I turn left it doesn't "reset" itself to the middle position, the right side works fine. Does anybody else's do this or is mine a little bit messed up?

It's most likely a broken mechanism within the top of the steering column.

Just remove the screws from the underside of the column cover. The switch will be mounted to the column itself, and if memory serves it has one screw on one side to remove the switch.

I switched it with my parts truck and everthing works now! Thank you for the advice on getting in there, it would have taken me a good 12 pack to figure it out, but i had one anyway cause it was cold. Thanks again
