I was driving back home this morning from work when my oil pressure dropped, a cloud of white smoke poared out the back, and all my oil decided it wanted to exit the rear main seal! rather then stay nice and warm inside the engine
no but really.. i"ve been anticipating this for awhile. the engine has so much blowby and and it leaks oil so fast that i've been puting 20w-50 in it to slow it down. worked for over a year and a half.
Anyway!!! does anybody out there have a dependable source for a late model (1979) 1.8L engine in the Phoenix, Az area. or have one themselves arround here?

check with duane he has a salvage yard with a bunch of luv trucks in it. the only down side to this is he is in texas

thanks for recommending me there olblue, but I'm out of stock on engines.I'm going to OKC tomm morning w my last two builders.All I have here right now is one bare 1.8 block

oh well.... kinda thinking I'll get our pos honda civic running first. all i need to do to it is rebuild the carbeurator. I dont feel like yanking the engine right now. besides i might just do an overhaul on it. that way i know what i have. probably port the head while i have it off and kick the horsepower up to 90 from the stock 75. mabe then it'll hold a reasonable freeway speed without mashing the petal into the pavement. i dont feel like going thru the B.S. of making it emissions legal with my 400 hp 350. too much baggage onboard. not to mention flying up to Idaho and shipping then engine back here.
