I went to the boneyard Saturday and when I drove in the over of the lot had a gift for me.

He had a 1982 Chevy Luv Shortbed Diesel sitting there waiting. The Diesel needs to be rebuilt, but outside of that she is in a condition that makes her look only 5 years old.

I mean - REALLY. No rust at all, well taken care of, Paint needs to be redun, and the engine needs a little TLC.

He told me to come back today to negotiate and to give him and idea of what I want to pay for it before he scraps the title.

So assistance requested. I can probably negotiate a laptop until I get the money, I just don't want to see this near mint honey hit the scrap pile.

Well, they junked the title for it. I just got back from visiting them, so they only way I can get it is if I bought the truck for parts and parts only. Unless I can get it titled in another state that strips the junk off it then re-title it here, that is the only way. Or get an 80 frame with engine and move the cab and bed over.

Don't worry about it until I figure out how to get this out of the yard without upsetting the DMV.

I might even offer to sell the parts for him on eBay...

I was thinking about getting the one around the corner for a few bux that was wrecked and then putting the bed and stuff on it. It is an 80, but the cab and bed that would go on it is an 82.

Matt
